Xiaomi seems to be already readying the Redmi 2 successor and the recently leaked roadmap of the Chinese company also points out at two Redmi devices being released in this year. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi 2 successor along with a new Mi handset which will be powered by the Snapdragon 808 chipset.Upleaks, the famous tipster has leaked information about a Xiaomi product in the pipeline, dubbed H3Y. The project is code named Hermes and the budget phone will draw power from a MediaTek MT6795 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Xiaomi H3Y will feature dual-SIM, 13-megapixel primary camera, 5-megapixel secondary camera and it will come clad in a metallic body.
The leaks further point out that the handset will be running MIUI 6 based on Android Lollipop. The tipster has also put up some leaked images of the phone.
The leaked roadmap hints that Xiaomi will launch the Mi 4S after the Mi 4i and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 808. Chinese Analyst Jiutang suggested that Xiaomi will come up with a Snapdragon 808 powered device which will be placed between the company’s Redmi and Mi lineup.
Just like all the other leaks, even this one should be taken with the proverbial pinch of salt.
