Xiaomi is one of the few Android OEMs that keep their smartphones supported with updates for an extended amount of time. Back in May, the Chinese technology major had announced MIUI 10, the latest version of its custom Android overlay. Since then, quite a few Xiaomi smartphones have received the update. Now, the company is adding two more devices to that growing list.
According to a report on XDA Developers, Xiaomi has made the stable versions of global MIUI 10 ROMs available for the Redmi 3S and Redmi 4 smartphones. Users having any of these two devices can head over to MIUI’s website and download the appropriate ROMs. Both fastboot and recovery ROMs are available, and can be flashed via MiFlash tool and TWRP, respectively.
The changelogs for both smartphones’ ROMs just mentions “improved system stability”, and the updates are based on Android Marshmallow. However, most (if not all) features included in MIUI 10 will be available on the Redmi 3S and Redmi 4, once they are updated.
Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 relies heavily on gesture-based navigation. Some of the key features included in the new Android overlay are a redesigned notification shade, new volume controls, vertically-scrolling recent apps screen, and new system sounds.

Both Redmi 3S and Redmi 4 are entry-level smartphones, each having a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. While Xiaomi Redmi 3S is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC, Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a Snapdragon 435 chipset. Each of the two smartphones is powered by a sizeable 4,100mAh battery.
