Xiaomi had launched the Redmi 3s in China earlier this year, and the device went on sale in two variants — 16GB and 32GB. The 16GB variant with 2GB RAM was priced at 699 Yuan (Rs 7,000 approximately) and the 32GB variant with 3GB RAM was priced at 899 Yuan (Rs 9,000 approximately). Looking at its prices, we expect the Redmi 3s to be launched between Rs 7,000 to Rs 9,000 in India. Taking all that into consideration, the possible competitors for the Redmi 3s in India could be Lenovo Vibe K5, Reliance Digital LYF Wind 5, and CoolPad Note 3 Lite to name a few.
Xiaomi had also launched the Redmi 3X in China alongside the Redmi 3s which has the same specifications except for the battery size. There is however no information on the Redmi 3X s launch in India.
