Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 3X smartphone alongside the Redmi 3s. The Redmi 3X has the same set of specifications as that of the Redmi 3s (2GB) variant. However the only difference is that the Redmi 3s (2GB) variant comes with a 4,000mAh battery, while the Redmi 3X (2GB) comes with a slightly bigger 4,100mAh battery. The Redmi 3X is priced at 899 Yuan (Rs 9,100 approximately). Xiaomi Redmi 3X specifications and features: The smartphone offers a 5-inch IPS display with a 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. Both front and back cameras support full HD video recording. The smartphone is equipped with a 4,100mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS with AGS/GLONASS and micro-USB 2.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 wrapped under MIUI 7.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3X isn’t likely to be available outside China, but we expect the Redmi 3s to hit the Indian shores soon. When launched, the smartphone will face tough competition from the likes of Intex Aqua Shine 4G, Lava V2s and Gionee P5L to name a few.
