The Xiaomi Redmi 4, which finally made its way to the Indian market earlier this year, has now gone up for a sale a couple of times. However, in the last few sales, out of the three available variants, only the one with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, went on sale. However, according to Xiaomi VP Manu Kumar Jain, for the first time, the Redmi 4 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant will go on sale today. The sale will kick off at 12PM, and the purchase can be made on mi.com and Amazon India. The Xiaomi Redmi 4, as mentioned, comes is three variants — the 2GB RAM one is priced at Rs Rs 6,999, and the one with 3GB RAM retails for Rs 8,999. On the other hand, the top-end 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, which goes on sale today, will set you back by Rs 10,999. Do note, while the highlight of the sale is that it is the debut sale for the higher variant, however, you will still be able to purchase the two lower models. As for specifications, the Redmi 4 sports an all metal body with a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display along with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with Adreno 505 GPU. It houses a 4,100 mAh battery and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 based MIUI 8 custom OS.
In terms of optics, Redmi 4 has a 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). Up front, it has a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone comes with connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots, 4G/VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
