Only the Xiaomi Redmi 4 64GB variant with 4GB of RAM is available on open sale. This variant is priced at Rs 10,999. The other two variants 16GB with 2GB RAM priced at Rs 6,999, and 32GB with 3GB RAM priced at Rs 8,999 will go on sale on August 29 at 12:00PM. Just like previous sales, Xiaomi will be offering free subscription to Hungama Music and Hungama Play for 12 and three months respectively. The Mi Case will be available for Rs 349, while the Mi headphones will be available for Rs 599. Xiaomi is also offering authorized damage protection plan for the Redmi 4 with prices starting from Rs 599.
Earlier this month, Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain announced an open sale for the Redmi Note 4 smartphone keeping in mind its wide popularity. The smartphone is available via open sale on mi.com and Flipkart. Xiaomi aims to sell 7 million units of the Redmi Note 4 by the end of this year. So far, the company has sold 5 million units. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display. Under the hood is Qualcomm s Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC. On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) support. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel front camera. The rest of the features include a 4,100mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough to offer up to 36 hours of talktime, and up to 430 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the device runs on Android Marshmallow wrapped under MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. We can expect the smartphone to get Android Nougat update soon considering the Redmi Note 4 got the update recently.
