The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is going on sale via Amazon India and mi.com today, with the sale kicked off at 12:00PM. The base variant comes with 16GB storage and 2GB of RAM, and is priced at Rs 6,999, the mid variant comes with 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM is priced at Rs 8,999, while the more expensive variant comes with 64GB storage and 4GB of RAM and is priced at Rs 10,999. The internal memory can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Just like all previous sale, Xiaomi will be offering free subscription to Hungama Music and Hungama Play for 12 and three months respectively. The Mi Case will be available for Rs 349, while the Mi headphones will be available for Rs 599. Amazon India also mentions that after adding the Redmi 4 to the shopping cart, you will just have 15 minutes to complete the payment process.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 flaunts a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display with 296ppi. Under the hood is Qualcomm s Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC. For photography, the Redmi 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF) support. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling. The rest of the features include a 4,100mAh battery, which Xiaomi says is good enough to offer up to 36 hours of talktime, and up to 430 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. On the software front, the device runs on Android Marshmallow wrapped under MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor placed at the back of the smartphone.
