While Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi 4 smartphone in India, rumors have it that the company is working on a successor to the Redmi 4. As spotted by Androidhealdine, the latest live images of the Redmi 5 reveal a different look from what was seen on the TENAA listing. Going by the latest live images, the Redmi 5 will not come with a full metal body, as hinted by the TENAA listing back in February. Instead, the smartphone is seen featuring a polycarbonate body. Some images also reveal specification of the phone and going by that the Redmi 5 will have an ARM processor clocked at 2GHz. This is yet again contradictory to the TENAA listing which hinted a processor clocked at 1.4GHz. Another major feature missing in the live photos of the Redmi 5 is the fingerprint scanner. While the previous listing shows a fingerprint scanner placed at the back. Considering there is no way to authenticate the images, we would suggest you take this piece of information with a pinch of salt.
