Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched last year as the successor to Redmi 4A, which was among the top three best-selling smartphones in the country in 2017. Xiaomi VP Manu Jain recently confirmed that Redmi 5A has become the second smartphone after Redmi Note 4 to cross 1 million ratings on Flipkart. The Redmi 5A along with other models has helped Xiaomi hold on to its leadership position in the Indian smartphone market for the second consecutive quarter. The company has dethroned Samsung on the back of strong demand for its budget and mid-range smartphones. Also Read - Xiaomi releases PatchWall 3.0 for the Mi TV models in India: Here’s what is new

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Specifications and Price

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has emerged as one of the most worthy challengers to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro. The smartphone was launched in April and will be available today at 12PM exclusively on Flipkart.

The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first device launching as part of a new strategic partnership with Flipkart. The company plans to launch more such devices exclusively on Flipkart, designed with the needs of online consumers in mind. Since its launch, the ZenFone Max Pro has seen reasonable success especially considering its price and features. On its website, Flipkart notes that the smartphone will also be available in grey color during today’s sale.

To recall, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and support for taller 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, which is the same as the one found on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes in two storage variants – 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage and a 4GB RAM model with 64GB storage.

Like many other smartphones in the segment, the ZenFone Max Pro also features vertically stacked dual-camera setup at the rear. It comes with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual cameras that support bokeh for portrait shots. The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and dedicated LED flash for brighter selfies in low-light.

The ZenFone Max Pro M1 runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo making it the first Asus smartphone to ditch its own Zen UI. It received a new software update soon after launch that brought support for the face unlock feature. One of the USPs of the device is its massive 5,000mAh battery. It is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant while the 4GB RAM variant will set you back by Rs 12,999.
