Xiaomi Redmi 5A, the entry-level smartphone from India’s leading smartphone brand and ZenFone Max Pro M1, the new challenger to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro, will go on sale today at 12PM. The Redmi 5A will be available for purchase on Xiaomi’s own website as well as on Flipkart while the ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The sale is a chance to purchase for those planning to buy either of these two devices from the Indian e-commerce platform.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched last year as the successor to Redmi 4A, which was among the top three best-selling smartphones in the country in 2017. Xiaomi VP Manu Jain recently confirmed that Redmi 5A has become the second smartphone after Redmi Note 4 to cross 1 million ratings on Flipkart. The Redmi 5A along with other models has helped Xiaomi hold on to its leadership position in the Indian smartphone market for the second consecutive quarter. The company has dethroned Samsung on the back of strong demand for its budget and mid-range smartphones.

The ZenFone Max Pro M1 is the first device launching as part of a new strategic partnership with Flipkart. The company plans to launch more such devices exclusively on Flipkart, designed with the needs of online consumers in mind. On its website, Flipkart notes that the smartphone will also be available in grey color during today’s sale.
