Chinese smartphone maker and electronics giant Xiaomi is defying the industry expectations by growing as the smartphone industry reports an overall decline. The company also managed to beat the competition by coming out on top in terms of market share in first quarter of 2018 according to IDC. The company launched it’s Mi TV 4 alongside Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in February following up with two more offerings as part of Mi TV 4A in March. If you want to buy one of the Mi TVs or a Redmi 5A and have been unsuccessful so far then today could be a good opportunity to give another go to buying these products. The Redmi 5A, Mi TV, and Mi TV 4A will be available for pre-order at 12 PM today via Mi.com. The company guarantees to ship the product ordered from Mi.com within one week. The catch here is that you will need to make an online payment and delivery address cannot be changed. As part of pre-order, Xiaomi will be making its Redmi 5A, 55-inch Mi TV 4, 32-inch Mi TV 4A and 43-inch Mi TV 4A available for pre-order.
Redmi 5A Specifications and Price
The company launched its Redmi 5A, an entry-level device back in November last year and it comes with specifications that match the segment. The smartphone is made from a material that mimics the feel of metal. It measures 140.4mm x 70.1mm x 8.35mm in dimensions and weighs 140 grams. It features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. It is available in two different storage options: 2GB RAM variant with 16GB storage and a 3GB RAM variant offering 32GB of storage.

The Redmi 5A features a 13-megapixel primary camera with 5-element lens, HDR and single LED flash at the back. At the front, it sports a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and faces recognition support. It supports connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and 4G LTE. The Redmi 5A is a dual-SIM smartphone and it runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat and packs a decent 3,000mAh battery. The Redmi 5A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB RAM variant.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 Specifications and Price
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 was the first smart TV launched in India by the Chinese company and it features a 55-inch 4K HDR display and has almost no borders around the display. It is powered by 64-bit quad-core Amlogic Cortex A53 CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage.
The 55-inch smart LED TV comes with multiple port options including one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, three HDMI port, one Ethernet port, one AV port and connectivity options include WiFi and Bluetooth. The TV comes with two 8W speakers and weighs around 17.8Kg including the base. The 55-inch Mi TV 4 is priced at Rs 39,999.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4A Specifications and Price
Xiaomi Mi TV 4A comes in two screen sizes 32-inch model with HD ready display and 43-inch model with Full HD display. Both the televisions are powered by a 64-bit quad-core Amlogic processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage. The difference between the two televisions lies in the size and resolution of their displays.
The 32-inch Mi TV 4A weighs 3.94Kg while the 43-inch model weighs around 7.43Kg. Both the models come with connectivity options like Ethernet and WiFi but lack Bluetooth support. They also include three HDMI port with the 43-inch model offering three USB 2.0 port and 32-inch model offering two USB 2.0 port. They both feature 20W speakers. The 32-inch model is priced at Rs 13,999 while the 43-inch model is priced at Rs 19,999.
Apart from their disruptive pricing, the Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A models run PatchWall UI based on Android. The UI offers an intuitive experience with large tiles sourced from your video source including the set-top box and other streaming platforms. With Mi TVs, consumers can use one remote to control all video sources.
