However, in the case of Redmi 5A, the update seems to be rolling out globally and a number of users in India have already received the update. This could be because of the fact that the smartphone has been a best-seller in the country during the last few quarters and Xiaomi would not like to disappoint its customers.
Xiaomi Redmi 5A MIUI 10 Update: All you need to know
To recall, the Redmi 5A was launched in India with MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and the device getting updated to MIUI 10 is a welcome sign in an age when most OEM don’t bother to update even their year-old devices. The MIUI 10 update being pushed to the device is the global stable ROM and it comes after the device received multiple beta updates in the past few months.
The global stable ROM is being rolled out in batches and the update may not appear on your device right away. After successful initial test run, Xiaomi should widely start deploying the update to all Redmi 5A users in the country. Alongside the stable ROM, Xiaomi is also seeding a beta ROM to a select batch of users in India.
