Both smartphones are offered in two storage variants. The Redmi 5A with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is priced at Rs 5,999, whereas the one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 6,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, whereas the one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 16,999. The Redmi 5A sports a 5-inch HD display, and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset. In the photography department, it gets a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The Redmi 5A runs MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with octa-core CPU. It comes equipped with dual rear camera setup comprising of a primary 12-megapixel sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel depth sensor. The setup allows you to add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos.
For selfies and video calling, there is a 20-megapixel front camera along with a dedicated LED flash, and support for face unlock. The Redmi Note 5 Pro runs MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo, and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
