After recently launching the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A in China, Xiaomi has launched yet another smartphone in the Redmi 6-series. Called Redmi 6 Pro, it is Xiaomi’s first budget smartphone to feature a tall 19:9 display and an iPhone X-like notch. Along with the Redmi 6 Pro, the company also unveiled the Mi Pad 4 tablet.
One of the highlights of the Redmi 6 Pro includes the AI powered dual rear cameras featuring scene detection mode to automatically adjust levels, and help you click better photos. The smartphone also comes with AI portrait mode, which can detect between the background and foreground to add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. It also comes with AI face unlock feature.

The Redmi 6 Pro is offered in three storage variants. The one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at RMB 999, which is approximately Rs 10,400. The second variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage, and it is priced at RMB 1,199, which roughly translates to Rs 12,500. The top end variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, and it will set you back by RMB 1,299, which is about Rs 13,600.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro specifications and features
The Redmi 6 Pro flaunts a 5.84-inch full HD+ display running at a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels, and featuring a 19:9 display. The notch houses the front camera, earpiece and proximity sensors. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz.
For shutterbugs, there is a dual camera setup at the back comprising of a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor. Up front is a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.
In terms of connectivity, you get dual SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The Redmi 6 Pro is powered by a 4,000mAh battery to keep things ticking. In the software department, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10 skin on top.
