The smartphone will be available for purchase via both mi.com and Amazon India, its official partner for online sale. The Redmi 6 Pro will be available for purchase at 12 noon and customers can buy the device either from Amazon India or mi.com. The smartphone is available in two different storage options and it starts at Rs 10,999. The base model comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage while the higher version offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for Rs 12,999. Those purchasing the Redmi 6 Pro get Rs 2,200 instant cashback and 4.5TB high speed data from Reliance Jio. With the Redmi 6, Xiaomi has once again revamped its entry-level smartphone lineup to offer three new models: Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. All the three models differ in terms of performance, memory, storage and price. The Redmi 6 Pro is the most expensive device offered in this series and it comes with more memory and a superior chipset.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch notched display with Full-HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s power efficient Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB internal storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot.
On the camera front, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi 6 Pro with same dual rear camera setup seen on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. There is a primary 12-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus paired with a secondary 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture for depth sensing. The setup allows for shooting pictures with a blurred background, also called portrait mode. At the front, the Redmi 6 Pro has a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and support for 1080p video recording.

The Redmi 6 Pro supports connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, infrared and 4G LTE. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and runs MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It packs a 4,000mAh battery and uses s micro-USB port for charging and data transfers. The Redmi 6 Pro will be available in red, rose gold, gold, blue and black colors.
