It looks like Xiaomi is finally rolling out the stable version of MIUI 10 Global ROM to Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro devices in the Indian market. A number of Redmi 6 Pro users posted screenshots of the update prompt in the MIUI forums confirming that the update has started rolling out. This confirmation comes almost two weeks after the company initially announced that it is rolling out the update for 21 Xiaomi devices in the market.

Inspecting the screenshots shared on the forum, we can see that the update includes MIUI version, and it is about 609MB in size. MIUI 10 brings a number of new features to the device including a software experience that has been designed for tall, full-screen devices along with “All-new full-screen gestures”.

According to the changelog, the update will also bring simplified system sounds to the device along with smart filters. Xiaomi has opted to add “natural and ever-changing sounds” to MIUI 10 including ambient sounds from different environments including forest, beach, drizzle, stove, fire, and summer night. The company claims that these system sounds will help users relax while increasing their focus on what is important.

Xiaomi has also added a new feature called “AI pre-loading” where the company uses machine learning to “pre-load” apps that the user is most likely to use. The company claims that this feature will make MIUI feel more responsive and smoother.

Other features include AI-powered portrait mode in the single sensor front camera to isolate the subject from the background. Xiaomi has also revamped the stock apps including Notes, and Clock with this new update. It is likely that the company is rolling out the update in a staged manner so if you have not yet received the update on your Redmi 6 Pro device then don’t worry and wait for a few days.
