If a new teaser is to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the affordable Redmi 6 series in India. India head Manu Kumar Jain tweeted a teaser that reveals ‘Desh ke Naye Smartphones’ are ‘coming very soon’. Xiaomi had first used the ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ campaign to tease the launch of the Redmi 5A last year.
Jain’s tweet features a short animated video that depicts the number ‘6’, and shows the sketch of three devices in the background. Going by the sketch, it seems quite obvious that Xiaomi plans to launch the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, and the Redmi 6 Pro in India. While there is no mention of a specific date, the time frame is in line with a recent report.
Mi fans! We've got more than one for you! Coming very soon 😇
