Xiaomi is all set to launch its latest smartphones in India, which will be part of its affordable offerings in the country. The Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6 Pro are expected to be launched during the event, and these phones will be the next tier of affordable offerings in the country. Of particular interest is the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, which will be the company’s most affordable smartphone with a notched display in India.

While prices have not been revealed, it’s likely that all three smartphones will be priced under Rs 10,000, at least for their starting variants. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and one other device are likely to go on sale on Amazon India, while the third device will be sold through a different medium, which could either be Flipkart or offline channels. The Xiaomi Redmi 6A will be the most affordable of the three devices, targeting entry-level Android users.

The Redmi 6A will be the successor to Redmi 5A, which has emerged as the best selling smartphone in the country. It is expected to be priced at Rs 5,999 for the base variant, while the model with higher storage could be expensive by Rs 1,000. The Redmi 6 could be priced around Rs 8,499 for the base variant while Redmi 6 Pro could start at Rs 11,999 in India.

The Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 are rumored to feature a 5.45-inch display with HD+ resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphones could be powered by MediaTek Helio P22 processor and support expandable storage. The Redmi 6A is expected to feature a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The Redmi 6, on the other hand, could rock dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel main sensor and 5-megapixel secondary sensor. It will also feature a 5-megapixel camera at the front for shooting selfies. Both Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 are expected to be backed by a 3,000mAh battery, and run MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Redmi 6 Pro will be the premium model of the three devices, and is expected to feature a slightly larger 5.84-inch Full HD+ display. The notched display might allow for more pixels and even taller aspect ratio. It could be powered by Xiaomi’s much preferred Snapdragon 625 chipset, and feature dual cameras on the back. This particular device might have a larger 4,000mAh battery, and run Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top.
