Smartphones have been evolving significantly in the past few years but the trend for 2018 has been the concept of notch. If you like a notched display then Realme 2 is the only smartphone with a notched display priced under Rs 10,000. Both Xiaomi Redmi 6 and the Honor 7S have a thin bezel design but they do not offer a notched display. Also Read - Best smartphones for photography under Rs 20,000 to gift for Father's Day
Both the Redmi 6 and Honor 7S feature a 5.45-inch display with HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The display translates to a taller aspect ratio of 18:9. The Realme 2, on the other hand, gets a bigger 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio.
In terms of design, the Redmi 6 and Honor 7S feature an all metal unibody design while the Realme 2 features a more unique diamond finish on the back. While one can call the Redmi 6 and Honor 7S as generic, the same cannot be said about the Realme 2. The Realme 2 scores high in both design and display department with its really modern and competent design and larger display with taller aspect ratio.
In terms of specifications, the Redmi 6 comes with a new chipset altogether. The Redmi 6 is using an octa-core Helio P22 chipset as opposed to Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 CPU found on its predecessor. The Helio P22 is based on a 12nm process, which should make it more efficient. The processor also has a higher clock frequency of 2.0GHz, which should help in performance.
The Redmi 6 comes standard with 3GB RAM and option for either 32GB or 64GB storage. Xiaomi is trying to sell the idea that RAM at your disposal alone does not count. In comparison, the Realme 2 is powered by Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB storage. The Honor 7S seems the weakest here with a MediaTek MT6739 CPU and just 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.
Realme 2 has an edge especially in area like battery life thanks to large 4,230mAh battery capacity. The Redmi 6 and Honor 7S both feature a smaller 3,000 and 3,020mAh battery.
The Redmi 6 and Realme 2 feature dual rear camera setup while the Honor 7S gets a single rear camera. The Redmi 6 borrows the camera system from Redmi Note 5 Pro and uses dual camera setup of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The Realme 2 also has a dual rear camera comprising of a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Honor 7S is sticking with single camera setup and gets a single 13-megapixel camera. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the Redmi 6 and Honor 7S while the Realme 2 gets a better 8-megapixel front shooter. If you are into selfies then the Realme 2 also offers much better beautification algorithm.

The Realme 2 is a bit expensive at Rs 8,990 for the variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage but it offers a bigger display and larger battery.
