Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6-series in India earlier this year, which included the entry-level Redmi 6A, the affordable Redmi 6, and the Redmi 6 Pro. The Redmi 6A was launched for Rs 5,999 for 16GB variant, and Rs 6,999 for the 32GB variant. However, in wake of depreciating rupee and rising input costs, Xiaomi was forced to hike the prices by up to Rs 1,000.
The smartphone is now available for Rs 6,599 for base model, and Rs 7,999 for the 32GB model. However, with 2018 coming to an end, Xiaomi has once again revised the price of the Redmi 6A, and it will be available at the original launch price. You can buy it from Amazon India, Mi.com/in and Mi Home stores. Xiaomi said that the revised pricing will be effective starting December 13 12:00PM onwards.
