Leakster @leaksfly has shared a photo that allegedly shows the back of the Redmi Note 2. It looks quite different from the Redmi Note, boasting a metal construction with plastic strips on the top and bottom. The phablet also seems to feature a fingerprint sensor located below the rear camera and the LED Flash.
From what we have heard so far, the Redmi Note 2 is likely to feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display, as well as a MediaTek s latest Helio X10 (MT6795) chipset under the hood. There are still a few contradicting reports which claim that the forthcoming phablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) processor.
Other features expected on the forthcoming phablet include a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 3,000mAh battery, LTE support, and run on Android Lollipop wrapped under MIUI 6.
As with all such rumors, we advise you to take this leaked photo with the proverbial pinch of salt. In just over 10 days, Xiaomi will host its event, where it could launch the Redmi Note 2.
