The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has seen quite a few leaks in the past few weeks. It has now turned up on China s TENAA (spotted by GizmoChina), which has confirmed the specifications and features, as well as contradicting one previous rumor. Unlike some of the leaked photos we have come across, the device seen on TENAA doesn t seem to feature a fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the overall design isn t a lot different from its predecessor. One small difference that is visible is the placement of the rear speaker, which is now placed towards the center. Also missing are metallic materials, which too were seen in earlier leaks. It is said to feature dimensions of 152.05 76.2 8.05mm, which is slimmer than its predecessor 154 78.7 9.45mm
The listing also confirms some of the specifications and features of the forthcoming phablet. The Redmi Note 2 is said to feature a 5.5-inch display and is likely to come in two variants one powered by a MediaTek MT6795 octa-core chipset and the other by a Snapdragon 615 chipset.
Both the variants will feature 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 16GB/32GB internal storage, and a 3,020mAh battery.
With such extensive leaks, it is highly likely that Xiaomi might take the wraps off the Redmi Note 2 at its event on July 16.
