The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 went on sale for the first time yesterday, and the flash sale was over in a matter of minutes. The Redmi Note 3 will be available on Amazon India and mi.com on March 16, while the Mi Power Bank will be available on the mi.com only. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 16GB variant, and Rs 11,999 for the 32GB variant, but is cheaper by Re 1 on Amazon India. The Mi Power Bank boasts Li-ion batteries sourced from LG and Panasonic and dual-USB ports. Xiaomi says the power bank is powerful enough to fully charge a Redmi Note 4G up to 3.5 times, an iPhone 6 up to five times, and the iPad mini up to 2.5 times.
The Redmi Note 3 is available in three colors — Gold, Dark Grey and Silver. Only the gold variant is available on Xiaomi’s website, while Amazon India has all three colors. The 16GB variant features 2GB of RAM and 4,000mAh battery, while the 32GB variant features 3GB of RAM and a 4,050mAh battery.
Both variants share a similar set of specifications that include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm s Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor, 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. They also include a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Lollipop 5.1-based MIUI 7.
