Successor to the Redmi Note 3, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched in China in August this year. While nothing much seems to have changed in terms of design and look of the phone, according to the latest reports, the company has launched two new color variants for the phablet. The Redmi Note 4, which was launched in silver, gold and grey colors, now gets two more colors — blue and black. Both colors are available with the 16GB and 64GB variants, Gizmochina reports. However, the cost of the phone remains the same as that of the other color variants. In terms of design, the Redmi Note 4 looks very much similar to the Redmi Note 3, but has a 2.5D curved glass on top. It has also added the Mi 5-like chamfered edges to the phone.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core SoC, however, the company is likely to launch a Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered before its launch in India. The smartphone is expected to launch in 2GB, and 3GB RAM options.
On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens. Armed with a 4,100mAh battery the smartphone comes with connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In terms of price, the smartphone is available in two variants 16GB variant with 2GB of RAM, and 64GB variant with 3GB of RAM. The base variant is priced at RMB 899, which is roughly around Rs 9,000, while the 64GB variant is priced at RMB 1,199, which is Rs 12,000 approximately.
Xiaomi is reportedly looking at starting the year 2017 by launching the Redmi Note 4 in the Indian market. Xiaomi has also announced that, for the first time, it will also be making its presence felt at the tech-conference, CES 2017 held in Las Vegas.
