The frenzy around Xiaomi’s handsets has returned with the Redmi Note phablets. The two earlier flash sales of the Redmi Note 3G variant were out of stock in seconds as well. The phablet however was discontinued after the Delhi High Court issued a ban on Xiaomi handsets in India. The court, however lifted the ban later, and allowed the company to sell devices with Qualcomm chipsets.
To recap, the Redmi Note 4G is priced at Rs 9,999. It is similar to the 3G variant, albeit with a couple of differences. The phablet is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB RAM. Connectivity options include single-SIM card slot, and the device supports both FDD-LTE at 1800MHz, and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz.
The phablet also features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) IPS display, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat wrapped under MIUI 5.
