Xiaomi is conducting its second offline flash sale today at 133 Airtel stores across India. The sale will begin at 3.00PM where users will be able to enter these physical stores, and come out with a Redmi Note 4G without any pre-registration. The sale will be on till stocks last, however the company has not provided any details on the amount of units it will be making available in each store for the sale. Note that the Redmi Note 4G can only be bought from Airtel stores, if the user buys a new Airtel connection, or existing users recharge their connection with 1GB 3G data pack. If you are looking for a new connection, the company suggests you carry a copy of ID proof, address proof, and a passport size photograph for submission. Just like last week, Airtel stores in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Kolkata will open doors to all customers at 3.00PM, who will walk-in, get cosy with the device, make a purchase decision, and walk out with a Redmi Note 4G if they want. No online registration, no pre-booking. Airtel has announced that these sales will be held on a weekly basis.
Additionally, Xiaomi has also announced that users will be able to buy the Redmi Note 4G on Flipkart from January 24 to January 26 without any registration or flash sale.
To recap on the specs, the Redmi Note 4G is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB RAM. It also features a 5.5-inch HD (1280 720 pixels) IPS display, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, and 8GB internal storage, microSD card support, and a 3,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android KitKat wrapped under MIUI 5. Connectivity options include single-SIM card slot, and the device supports both FDD-LTE at 1800MHz, and TDD-LTE at 2300MHz.
