Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 184.108.40.206 stable version for the Redmi Note 4G in India. The update claims to fix many of the bugs which have been plaguing the Redmi Note 4G. Normally the smartphone would notify the users about this update, however users can force update as well by heading to Settings->About Phone->Software update. The update is around 600MB in size and the entire updating process would take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the Internet connection. The update not only brings the MIUI 6 to the device but it also solves the Google login issue. Redmi Note 4G also had a nasty habit of automatically closing the music player once the device is locked this issue is also attended to in this update.
MIUI 6 is well appointed and it scores high on productivity. It looks like MIUI 6 has taken many cues from the iOS 8 and this fact also gets reflected in the UI color schemes. The lockscreen has also been revamped and now it also beams notification from social channels.
With this update, the Redmi Note 4G will also become compatible to work with the Mi Band, which Xiaomi says it will launch in India soon.
