Xiaomi India is gearing up for its first launch event of 2018, and going by all the hype, this promises to be a big one. While the company has tried its best to keep everything under wraps, it has failed to stem the flow of leaks in the run up to today’s event. We pretty much have a fair idea of what to expect from the company today. Xiaomi’s launch event kicks off at 12:00PM IST today, and here’s how you can watch it online.

Xiaomi will be streaming today’s launch event live on its official website. Those interested can head over to mi.com to find a live event page. To follow the stream though, you will have to login using your Mi account. Alternatively, the company is expected to have a live video on its Facebook account. You will also find live updates from the event on the company’s Twitter account.

If all the leaks so far are anything to go by, Xiaomi is widely expected to launch the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones today. Further, the Chinese company is also expected to launch its first smart TV for the Indian market. All these new launches will be exclusively available via Flipkart.

An alleged render leak gave us the first glimpse at the upcoming smartphones. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to flaunt an 18:9 aspect ratio display. It is also speculated that the Redmi Note 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 626 SoC, while the Pro variant will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC. Another differentiating factor between the two smartphones is said to be the presence of a dual-camera setup on the Pro variant.
