Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 now available via Flipkart and, Note 5 Pro to go on flash sale today

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 went on sale via both the platforms at midnight. The Note 5 Pro will be available starting 12 PM today.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, the company’s newest in the budget smartphone segment is now available for open purchase. The smartphone went on sale at midnight across and Flipkart. There’s are a bunch of offers applicable on the purchase of the Redmi Note 5. The smartphone was launched in February this year, alongside its better-specced sibling the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which will also go on sale via Flipkart at 12PM today through a flash sale. Here’s a look at all the offers, pricing and specifications of the duo.


If you purchase the Redmi Note 5 via, you will be able to avail free subscription to Hungama Music for three months. This offer will be provided to the first five lakh users only. In addition to that, Reliance Jio users will be eligible for Rs 2,200 Instant Cashback and up to 4.5TB data. You will be required to register for a Jio SIM free home delivery and avail the offer by using a promo code. You can add insurance against accidental and liquid damages with Mi Protect, which costs an additional Rs 799.

Flipkart also has a range of offers on the purchase of the Redmi Note 5. You can consider exchanging an old device for up to Rs 11,000 off. If purchases are made using an Axis Bank Buzz credit card, then there’s additional 5 percent discount. Under the partner offer, first time mobile phone buyers on Flipkart will get extra 10 percent discount on the purchase of fashion products. This offer is valid until April 20.

Deals and offers on the Redmi Note 5 Pro via Flipkart will be unlocked when it goes for its flash sale today. It is worth mentioning that there will be no cash on delivery option on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. If you want to purchase the Note 5 Pro via, you will have to wait until April 27, 2018, when the device will be up for its pre-orders on the official site.


The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is available in two variants. The base model comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 9,999. The second model includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It carries a price of Rs 11,999. The smartphone is available in color choices of black and gold on Flipkart. If you buy from, there are more color options available, including blue and rose gold.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is available at Rs 13,999 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The second variant is priced at Rs 16,999 and includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is available in color choices of black, gold, and rose gold.

It is equipped with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9,  the Redmi Note 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC. As mentioned previously, there are two models of the Redmi Note 5 based on storage and RAM.

In the photography department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 packs a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. It is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 layered atop. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, dual-SIM card slots with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro also features the same display as the Redmi Note 5, but it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC. It is equipped with a combination of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel cameras at back with LED flash. Up front, there’s a 20-megapixel camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and selfie LED light. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with MIUI 9 layered atop. It is also fueled by the same 4,000mAh battery.
