Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, the premium mid-range smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, will be available for sale once again. The smartphone will go on sale at 12PM exclusively on Flipkart. The exclusive sale is part of Indian e-commerce player’s Big Shopping Days sale, which concludes today.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 4, which was the best selling smartphone in 2017. Xiaomi claims to have sold over 9 million units of Redmi Note 4 in India. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is a premium offering in comparison with that Redmi Note 5 and offers a faster processor and dual rear camera setup. The smartphone is aimed at those who are looking for a mid-range device with modern design and latest hardware features.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is one of the most powerful smartphones in the sub-Rs 20,000 price segment. The Chinese smartphone maker is pitching the device as a premium replacement to last year’s Redmi Note 4 and was launched alongside the standard Redmi Note 5. While the Redmi Note 5 is available via open sale, the Redmi Note 5 is being sold via flash sale model only.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro, like the Redmi Note 5, features a modern design language with large 5.99-inch Full HD+ display supporting a taller 18:9 aspect ratio and thinner bezels around the display. Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB standard storage. The primary difference between Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro lies in their camera setup.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro features a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensor and a 20-megapixel camera at the front for selfies. The selfie camera also comes with a dedicated flash for low-light scenario and face unlock. The smartphone runs MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro was launched in India at Rs 13,999 but it recently received a price hike of Rs 1,000 due to increased import duty of components. The 4GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro is now priced at Rs 14,999 while the 6GB RAM variant retails for Rs 16,999. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will be available for purchase in black, blue, gold and rose gold color.
