Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro to get Android Oreo
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is widely considered the best mid-range smartphone in India right now, but it’s got as much criticism for running Android Nougat when manufacturers are widely adopting Android Oreo. But buyers of the phone now have a reason to be happy, as Xiaomi has confirmed that its popular smartphone is slated to get MIUI 9.5 with Android Oreo, starting June 29.

Samsung could manufacture Apple’s A13 processor in 2019
Samsung’s chipset manufacturing division could get a lot of business in 2019, as Apple is mulling a switch back to the company. Apple last contracted Samsung to produce its A9 processors in 2015, but has since worked with TSMC. However, next year, Apple could go back to Samsung to manufacture the new A13 processor, which will debut on whatever new devices are launched in 2019.
Moto Z3 Play could launch in India next month
Expected to come a little over a year after its predecessor, the Motorola Moto Z3 Play is rumored to be launching in India in July. Considering that the price of the device in Brazil is R$2,299 (approximately Rs 40,000) the pricing could be similarly high in India.
Vodafone RED Basic plan launched at Rs 299
Vodafone has unveiled its newest and currently most affordable postpaid plan in India. The Vodafone RED Basic plan is charged at Rs 299 per month, and gives users the benefit of unlimited outgoing and incoming calls in both your home network and on national roaming, 100 SMS (local and STD) and 20GB of data on 2G/3G/4G networks.
Apple iPhone 6s could be made in India
While the Apple iPhone SE is already made in India, it’s likely that the next batch of the Apple iPhone 6s could be manufactured locally. Although it’s an older model, the phone is popular in India as it’s among the more affordable options in the country. Production on the device has started at the Bengaluru facility of Apple’s contract manufacturer in India, Wistron.
