Prices for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 starts at Rs 9,999, while the Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced from Rs 13,999.

Xiaomi appears to be dominating the day today as the company is not only expected to announce its new Redmi 5 in India, but is also hosting its next flash sale for the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones. The Redmi Note 5 lineup will be up for grabs on mi.com and Flipkart today at 12:00 PM. The company made the announcement through its Redmi India Twitter account, saying both the models will be available online for purchase.

The Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro were introduced last month in the country, and boast narrow-bezel display and enhanced camera features as their highlights. The Redmi Note 5 is priced at Rs 9,999 for 3GB+32GB version, and Rs 11,999 for 4GB+64GB version. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant, and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB+64GB version.

Flipkart is offering extra five percent discount on purchase with Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card. The Reliance Jio Football Offer of Rs 2,200 instant cashback is also applicable on the purchase. Jio users can avail up to 4.5TB data on recharge with Rs 198 or Rs 299.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 specifications

The Redmi Note 5 is equipped with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC. The internal memory is expandable with the use of a microSD card.

For optics, the Redmi Note 5 features a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. Fueling the smartphone is a 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, the Redmi Note 5 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box layered with MIUI 9 atop. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, dual-SIM card slots with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is also equipped with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display, however, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core SoC. Again the onboard storage is expandable via microSD card.

Camera is one of the highlights of the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It is equipped with a dual-camera module at the back, which includes a combination of 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors, supported by LED flash. Up front, there’s a Sony IMX376 20-megapixel sensor with a dedicated selfie flash.

It is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, the Redmi Note 5 runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box with MIUI 9 layered above. Connectivity options on include Bluetooth, dual-SIM card slots with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
