The next-generation flagships like Galaxy S9 will be able to support demanding games with console quality graphics thanks to Adreno 630 GPU. Xiaomi beats Samsung in Q4 2017: IDC
After Canalys and Counterpoint Research, IDC has also confirmed that Xiaomi inched past Samsung to become the smartphone leader during the fourth quarter of 2017 in India. However, it could not defeat Samsung in overall shipments for the entire year.
According to IDC, Xiaomi’s shipments more than doubled last year while Samsung struggled to match the Chinese company’s aggressive pricing in the country. Another Chinese smartphone maker Oppo was the worst hit with its shipments declining nearly 50 percent. The timing of the report couldn’t have been any better as Xiaomi gears up to announce new products that will decide whether it stays number one in India’s competitive smartphone market.
