Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi S2 smartphone on May 10 in China, and a lot of details about the smartphone have already surfaced online. Now, ahead of the official unveiling, the smartphone has already been listed on e-commerce site AliExpress. The listing shows off the front and back of the smartphone, and also lists all the key specifications and features. Spotted by Gizmochina, the listing reveals that the Xiaomi Redmi S2 will come with a metallic chassis, and the back of the device resembles the recently launched Mi 6X. As we can see in the photos, the back has a new antenna line design along the top and bottom. The dual camera modules are placed vertically on the top-left corner, whereas a circular fingerprint sensor is at the center. On the front, you have the full screen display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and the Android navigation buttons are on screen. Based on the listing, the smartphone houses a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display running at HD+ resolution (720×1440 pixels). Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. With dual-SIM card slots, a dedicated microSD card slot is also present. While the listing does not talk about any other variant, rumors and leaked reports have hinted at a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant.
In the photography department, the Redmi S2 features a dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
