Xiaomi is yet again holding a collective sale for the Redmi Y2 and the Mi TV4 smart TV series, which will go live today at 12PM. The Redmi Y2 will be available on mi.com and Amazon India, while the Mi TVs will go on sale via mi.com and Flipkart. There seem to be limited stocks for all the devices, so grab one as soon as you can.
The Redmi Y2 is the successor to last year’s Redmi Y1. Its main highlight is the new 16-megapixel selfie camera which is powered by AI technology. It is available in two configurations – the base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage for Rs 9,999, and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage for Rs 12,999. Like the previous time, Airtel is offering a Rs 1,800 cashback and 240GB of free data on purchase of the smartphone. The new Mi TV 4 series of smart TVs carries three models, which includes the Mi TV 4 55-inch, Mi TV 4A 43-inch, and Mi TV 4A 32-inch. They are priced at Rs. 44,999, Rs 22,999, and Rs 13,999, respectively.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 specifications and features
The Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio, and is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC running alongside a 3,000mAh battery. Besides the internal storage, it features an expandable storage of 256GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, layered with MIUI 9.5 on top.
The Redmi Y2 comes with a 16-megapixel front camera, with an aperture of f/2.0. It’s further supplemented by AI Beautify 4.0 and LED flash. There is also support for Face Unlock feature. At the back, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup, which consists of a 12-megapixel primary sensor, paired alongside a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro-USB port.
Mi TV 4-series specifications and features
The most premium model of the three is the Mi TV 4. It features a 55-inch Ultra HD 4K resolution display that comes with 60Hz standard refresh rate and HDR support as well. One of its key highlights is the sleek design that carries a 4.9 mm ultra-thin profile. The TV is powered by a quad-core Amlogic 64 bit processor, Mali-T830 MP2 Graphics, 2GB RAM, and 8GB storage. You also get three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and 8W stereo speakers.

The Mi TV 4A on the other hand is available in two sizes – 43-inch and 32-inch. The bigger variant offers full HD resolution, while the 32-inch model offers only HD ready resolution. Both models also come with 60Hz standard refresh, and are powered by an Amlogic 64-bit quad-core processor, Mali-450 MP3, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage. Both TVs also come with three HDMI, two USB ports, and 20W speakers. All three TV runs on PatchWall OS and come with a 1 year warranty.
