Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for the Redmi Y2 smartphone from Monday. The company has officially announced the rollout on MIUI Forum and even users in India have started reporting about Stable OTA update being rolled out on their Redmi Y2 devices.

The MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM is first for India starting with Redmi Y2. The OTA update version number MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEFMIFH weighs 501 MB in size, and it includes August security patch. The update is based on Android Oreo.

The changelog by Xiaomi notes that the update designed for full screen experience. It brings all-new full screen gestures that will change the way you interact with your device and lets the content take the front stage. The device has full screen mode gestures since launch as well, but it seems Xiaomi has made some changes. The complete changelog (via FoneArena) includes Redesigned Notification Panel, Redesigned Volume Sliders, Improved multitasking management, natural sound system, and more.

Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Y2 with Android Oreo-based MIUI 9.5 in June. The highlight of the Redmi Y2 is its cameras. At the back is a dual-camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor, and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor.
