Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be up for sale today on Amazon India at 12:00PM. The smartphone comes in two variants – one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage priced at Rs 9,999. The other variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage can be purchased for Rs 12,999. Consumers purchasing the Redmi Y2 from Amazon India will also get ‘Airtel’s Extra Data offer’, which includes Rs 1,800 instant cashback, and up to 240GB free data. The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is already available via open sale on mi.com depending upon the stock availability. At the time of writing this article, the black and gold color variant of Redmi Y2 with 4GB were in stock for purchase. The successor to last year’s Redmi Y1, the latest Redmi Y2 brings some interesting upgrades, especially with the selfie camera. It features a 16-megapixel front camera with AI beauty mode. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 specifications and features
In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 sports a 5.99-inch display with HD+ resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and 18:9 aspect ratio. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, similar to the one found on Redmi Note 5, and Redmi Note 4. Xiaomi has also got the dual-camera setup in Redmi Y2, which include a 12-megapixel and a 5-megapixel sensor combination. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB port and 4G LTE.

On the software front, the Redmi Y2 runs MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Xiaomi has already announced that the smartphone will be updated to MIUI 10 with new gesture support later this year. Under the hood, there is a 3,080mAh battery. The Redmi Y2 comes in grey, gold, and Rose Gold color options in India.
