Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi may, in some quarters, cede first place in overall smartphone shipments to arch rival Samsung. However, when it comes to online shipments, its the undisputed leader of the space. In the ongoing Amazon India Great Indian Festival, Flipkart Big Billion Days and mi.com’s Mi Super Sale, Xiaomi claims to have sold over 2.5 million devices in about two-and-a-half days; an admirable feat that just goes to show the popularity of Xiaomi products in India. According to Xiaomi, two million of those devices sold were smartphones, indicating that even though the company is branching out into TVs and accessories, its star products continue to be its smartphone range. Unsurprisingly, the best-selling smartphone during the period mentioned was the Xiaomi Redmi 6A. The device is the most affordable smartphone in the company’s portfolio, priced at Rs 5,999. Furthermore, Xiaomi claims that the top 10 best-selling smartphones on Amazon India were Xiaomi devices. Also Read - Redmi K40G in the works: Will this be the Poco F3 Pro or Mi 11X Gaming Edition?
