The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 is the newest fitness tracker from the company, and is a part of its successful Mi Band range of products. The Mi Band 3 is priced at RMB 169 (Approximately Rs 1,780) and features an OLED screen, heart rate sensor and pedometer. The device connects to a smartphone using Bluetooth, and can display notification previews and caller-ID for the paired smartphone on the user’s wrist.

The device is only available in Xiaomi’s home market of China for now, but could be launched in India soon. Currently, Indian buyers have the option to buy the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, which was launched in June 2016. The Mi Band 3 is an improvement over its predecessor in terms of hardware and capabilities, and claims battery life of up to 20 days on a single charge.

The Mi Band 3 will also be launched with an NFC variant in September, which will not only make pairing easier but will also open up the possibilities of using the device as a contactless payment system. For the time being, only the more affordable non-NFC model is available in China. There’s no firm word on when the fitness tracker will be launched in India yet.
