There may still be sometime left for Xiaomi’s event at MWC 2016 to begin, but its Beijing event has kicked off. Xiaomi has shown off three color variants of the Mi 5 — gold, silver and black. Interestingly, the gold variant has a crisscrossed pattern at the back.
Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone feature a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, phase-detection auto-focus, optical image stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with pixel size of 2 microns. The quality of the photos is quite impressive, and as we can see, it seems to work well in low-light conditions.
Xiaomi Mi 5 specifications and features: The smartphone features a 5.15-inch (1920 1080 pixels) Full HD display. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor. Xiaomi has launched three variants — 32GB and 64GB storage variants with 3GB of RAM, and a 128GB storage variant with 4GB of RAM.
Xiaomi s Mi 5 also features a 3,000mAh built-in battery along Quick Charge 3.0, a fingerprint scanner up front, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual-band (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. On the software front, it runs on MIUI 7.
