Xiaomi launched its latest series of televisions three months back, namely Mi TV 4 and Mi TV 4A. And the company has now announced that there is an event going to be held today, which would relate to TVs.
The event from Xiaomi has been termed as ‘Xiaomi TV strategy conference’, though the company is reportedly set to announce a couple of new products at the event. While it is not yet clear what the company will be introducing from its post on Weibo, many believe that there might be a new smart TV coming from the company.
Though Xiaomi has only launched its flagship Mi TV 4 series in India the Mi TV 4 and a cheaper Mi TV 4A, it has cheaper offerings in China which include the Mi TV 4C and Mi TV 4S. It is doubtful that Xiaomi would add another TV to its flagship Mi TV 4 series so soon after launch, so we assume that it will probably be in one of the cheaper segments.
Xiaomi Mi TV 4 features and specifications
The Mi TV 4 features a 4K HDR display to deliver crystal clear picture. The smart TV runs on a 64-bit A53 quad-core processor featuring a Mali-T830 GPU. Besides that, the TV also supports 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Xiaomi claims the TV supports an Amlogic engine, which should help with upscaling normal content to meet 4K HDR standards.
