Xiaomi is planning to launch a number of products at its May 31st launch event. As the event approaches, the company has revealed a number of details about the devices in the pipeline for the launch including a number of teasers. It has confirmed that it will launch the Xiaomi Mi 8, and the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 at the launch event. However, details have also pointed out at the launch of a second smartphone, a special edition of the Mi 8.
According to a leaked packing sticker for the retail box revealed that the upcoming smartphone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC along with a dual camera setup with AI-powered capabilities. The sicker also revealed that the device is likely to pack a 20-megapixel camera module on the front for selfies. The interesting thing to note here is that this is likely to make the Special Edition Mi 8, the first smartphone in the market to come with a Snapdragon 700 series SoC. Qualcomm just announced the launch of its latest SoC about a week back.

This new report comes almost a day after the price of Xiaomi Mi Band 3 for the Chinese market was leaked out on the internet. Xiaomi also took to its Webio account to showcase that the company is planning to launch its upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8 in eight more markets apart from the Chinese market.
This list of countries includes India which means that fans of the company in China will not have to wait for long to get a chance to buy the latest and greatest by the company.
