Xiaomi is just rolling out a new version for its “POCO Launcher” with a number of new updates. The update is currently rolling out on Google Play Store for the users. According to the change-log on the Play Store for the new update, Xiaomi has added a new App vault feature in the launcher. Users can access the vault by swiping towards the right side when the user is on the home screen. The change-log also noted that Xiaomi is expanding its “Quick functions” in the launch to more devices. This will allow users to quickly take screenshots, toggle torch and Wi-Fi.
In addition to these two features, the new update also brings the option to change the background of the app drawer to “Dark” and “Transparent” options. These two new options come in addition to the existing “Light” color. The company claims that this new version also comes with optimized battery usage which is likely to increase the battery backup of devices. Last but not least, the update also comes with a number of “pesky” bug fixes. For the people who may be unaware about the “POCO Launcher”, this is an in-house app launcher that Xiaomi ships with Poco F1, the first smartphone from its sub-brand Poco.

The company initially launched the launcher as an exclusive for the Poco F1. However, weeks after the launch, the company posted the launched on Google Play Store for other devices.
This new update comes weeks after the company released the launch update for the launch. The last update brought home screen layout customization along with the ability to change the size of the app icons to the launcher. This new update comes right after the Flipkart Mobile Bonanza where the company slashed the price of Poco F1 with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage to Rs 20,999.
