Xiaomi made the announcement on its Facebook Page while also mentioning that the Mi Band is the third most popular wearable in the world. One of the welcome changes in the Mi Band Pulse is the built-in heart-rate sensor, which now makes it a complete activity tracker.
With the addition of a new heart-rate sensor and aggressive pricing, the Mi Band Pulse is easily the most affordable wearable to come equipped with real-time heart rate monitoring.
In terms of design, there isn t much of a change, except for the slight increase in dimensions and weight. Remaining specifications are the same as the earlier version. The Mi Band Pulse retains the three LED notification lights on the top, the IP67 certification for dust and water resistance and the vibration.
The battery hasn t seen any upgrade as it s still the same 45mAh capacity. While Xiaomi promises the same 30-day long battery life, using the heart-rate sensor quite often may hog a good amount of battery.
