As mentioned above, Black is an online-only brand of smartphones and will retail exclusively on Flipkart. Unlike Xiaomi or Lenovo though, there won t be a flash sale model, and it will be much easier for those interested to get their hands on the smartphone.
Despite the exclusivity, Xolo has also announced a partnership with Vodafone. As a part of this deal, the Black smartphone will be on display at Vodafone India stores across the country where interested consumers can go and check it out. Additionally, Vodafone users buying the smartphone will also be entitled to 1GB of free data per month for a period of two months or unlimited music download from the Vodafone Music Application for the same time period.
Unlike the features, Xolo hasn t teased anything regarding the pricing of the Black smartphone. But back in May, BGR India exclusively reported about Xolo s plans to launch the Black sub-brand. We revealed that all the smartphones set to be launched under the Black banner will be 4G enabled and will be priced in the Rs 10,000 and the Rs 20,000 region. The first Black smartphone launching tomorrowwill be priced below Rs 15,000.
One of the first features teased by Xolo was the kind of camera the Black smartphone will boast. As per the company the smartphone will have a dual-camera setup similar to what is seen on smartphones like the HTC One (M8) and the Honor 6 Plus. There is however no word on how exactly the two camera lenses will work in tandem.
Recently, Xolo released yet another teaser video, which highlighted another key aspect of the smartphone s camera. According to the video, the dual-camera will have fast-focus capabilities. The company says, Experience quick focus that will never let you miss a moment.
Another teaser video posted by Xolo highlights the smartphone s hygienic capabilities. The Black smartphone is set to be splash-proof, which will save it from an accidental water spillage. Additionally, it is also expected have oleophobic coating on the front as well as the back. This coating will ensure that there are no smudges on the smartphone.
