Xolo has joined in on the affordable selfie-smartphone trend with its latest launch — Opus 3. The smartphone with a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera is priced at Rs 8,499 and is available on e-commerce sites as well as retail stores.
As mentioned above, the talking point on the smartphone is the 5-megapixel wide-angle camera at the front. At the back is an 8-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R Sensor and dual flash.
The Opus 3 also features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Also included is 8GB internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card, and a 2,500mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.
At this price point, the Opus 3 will face heavy competition from the Xiaomi Redmi Note that goes on sale next week. It will also be up against other selfie-focused smartphones like the Panasonic Eluga S, Lava Iris X5 and the Karbonn Titanium S19.
