Not willing to be left behind, Xolo today launched the Prime, an Android Lollipop smartphone priced at Rs 5,699. At this price, it will compete with the Micromax Canvas Spark and Motorola Moto E.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Xolo Prime flaunts a 4.5-inch IPS screen with 480×854 pixel resolution and pixel density of 218ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad-core processor paired with Mali 400 MP GPU and 1GB of RAM. It offers 8GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.
On the camera front, it sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus, 1080p video recording and LED flash, and a VGA front snapper. The smartphone packs a 1,800mAh battery, which the company claims that it delivers up to 20.8 hours of talk time on 2G networks and 10 hours on 3G. Additionally, it offers up to 500 hours of standby time on 2G and 400 hours on 3G.
It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, 3G support and Bluetooth. The Xolo Prime is available in black, blue, red and gold variants.
At this price and spec point, the smartphone is set to compete with Micromax Canvas Spark and the Moto E (2015).
