Xolo is on a launching spree and after recently announcing the A600 and the Q900 smartphones, the company has now listed two new devices the Q800 X-Edition and A500s IPS – on its website. Both these phones are upgraded variants of the previously launched Q800 and A500s. The A500s IPS comes at a slightly higer price of Rs 7,249 than the A500s, which is available for Rs 6,999. Talking of features, both the Q800 X-Edition and the A500s IPS have the same features that were seen on the earlier models, with the only difference being an addition of support for Full HD recording and X-Themes interface on the Q800 X-Edition and an IPS display on the A500s IPS.
Specs-wise, the A500s IPS comes with a 4-inch TFT IPS display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with a Mali-400 MP GPU and 512MB of RAM. It also has 4GB of internal memory, 32GB of external memory support through a micoSD card, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera and a 1,400mAh battery with up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 8 hours on 3G. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The Q800 X-Edition comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display with 540×960 pixels resolution and runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor with PowerVR SGX544 and 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, expandable by up to 32GB using a microSD card. Other features include an 8-meagpixel rear camera and a 1-megapixel front camera. It too runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.
Other features in the phones include Xolo Secure app to protect the phone from data loss or thefts. With this app, one can take backup of call records and SMS, and also track the phone s location remotely.
