Yahoo Mail, now owned by Verizon, is getting a new version of its mobile website. The company says it has over 227 million active users worldwide with 26 billion emails received every day. With the introduction of new mobile website, Yahoo Mail is getting many of the same features that are available for its mobile app users.

Yahoo says that the revamped version of the mobile website is to help users all around the world get the best experience on their smartphones. It says the goal is offer a streamlined experience on mobile regardless of device specifications, location or network capacity. The revamped version of Yahoo’s mobile website will include features like swiping to either delete emails or mark them as read.

There will also be a sidebar menu with organizational folders, automatic suggestions while searching for email addresses, an inbox with infinite scroll and an easy access toolbar that lets you quickly take actions on emails. The new mobile web version also includes options to change the color theme to light and dark backgrounds.

Alongside the revamped version of its mobile website, Yahoo is also launching an app specifically for Android Go devices. Android Go is a branch of low-powered devices that take much less resources for apps and services. It is a stripped-down version of Android Oreo aimed at the emerging markets.

The Yahoo Mail for Android Go uses the same architecture as the standard Yahoo Mail app on Android and has most of the major features. It cuts down on the RAM usage to under 50MB, which would appeal to those using such low-powered devices.
