Yahoo today released a major update to Flickr which brings new set features that elevates the users overall experience and makes it more mobile-friendly. The new Flickr includes a new Uploadr application for Macs and Windows that let users easily upload several photos at once onto the photo sharing service. Yahoo also updated how photos are managed, and even overhauled the Camera Roll. The most interesting element added to the new Flickr is Magic View. Photos are organised by date and topic, and users can search from any topic. All photos are uploaded privately by default, allowing users to share them later.
This is the second major revamp of Flickr in three years. In 2013, Yahoo revamped the photo service thatincluded 1TB of free photostorage. However, that had gone horribly wrong, withusers demanding the roll back of the upgrade.
